What is the Drilling Supervision Training Program?
A hands-on training program that equips participants with the technical and practical skills needed to effectively supervise water well drilling operations, combining classroom instruction with real-world field experience.
How long is the program, and what does the schedule look like?
The program runs two weeks: one week of classroom training followed by one week of field-based practical training. Sessions are full-day, Monday through Friday.
What topics does the program cover?
Core training topics include:

What will I be able to do after completing the program?
Graduates leave able to supervise drilling operations effectively, ensure contractual and technical compliance, improve drilling quality and efficiency, and apply safety standards in field operations.
Is there hands-on field experience, or is it just classroom instruction?
Both. After a week of classroom instruction, participants apply what they've learned by supervising a real well drilling operation — gaining direct experience in on-site supervision, quality assurance, technical reporting, safety compliance, and field decision-making.
Do I receive a certificate?
Yes. Participants who complete the program receive a digital certificate of completion.
How much does the program cost, and what's included?
The program fee is $500 USD per person. Room, board, and local transportation during the program are provided. Participants are responsible for their own travel (airfare) and insurance.
Who is this program designed for?
The program is built for anyone who needs hands-on skills in supervising water well drilling operations — including NGO and government staff overseeing drilling projects, and individuals building a career in the field.
Where does the program take place?
Training is based at HydroLOGICA's operations in Nicaragua, combining classroom sessions with field training on an active drilling site.
