HydroLOGICA was born from the desire to see communities gain access to safe water and prove to the industry that technical excellence is possible even in a challenging context.
We strive to provide world-class quality services that create the necessary infrastructure to support economic development as well as reduce the number of rural communities lacking access to safe water.

Drilling water wells in developing countries with little infrastructure, limited existing drilling resources, and no existing supply chain is hard work. Short-term failures are inevitable, but learning from our failures builds long-term success. We are transparent about our successes and failures.

Meet Our Team
Michael, co-founder of HydroLOGICA. He originally founded WEST Engineering Services and is now retired after it’s sale. He grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. He attended Hargrave Military Academy in the beautiful, tree-filled hills of Southern Virginia where he learned self-discipline and invaluable leadership skills.
He then attended Tennessee Tech and graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering. He worked almost a decade offshore in various subsea-related positions, where he recognized the need for a training, inspection and testing service provider for Blowout Preventers (BOPs). His dynamic vision led to the creation of WEST Engineering Services and later moved the company to Houston, Texas. WEST Engineering Services became the world leader on BOPs and drilling services because of their technical expertise. Currently retired, Michael focuses his attention on philanthropic efforts, especially bringing clean water access to communities in need. An avid flyer and world traveler, Michael is also a proud “Pa-pa”. He is never too busy to pull a golf ball out of his pocket for an impromptu game of catch with these good buddies.
Brandon became aware of the global water crisis while managing a cholera clinic during the2010 outbreak in Haiti. There, he witnessed firsthand the devastating impact that contaminated water can have on both individuals and entire communities.This experience led him to begin working with a nonprofit organization in the water sector.
It was through his work in Haiti, and later in Nicaragua, that his passion for clean water grew into what it is today. Brandon has always valued hard work, professionalism, and doing things the right way, qualities that are naturally reflected in the culture of HydroLOGICA.
When he’s not covered in mud on a job site, you’ll likely find him at the beach with his family, spending time with his three children and always ready to catch a wave.
Douglas is one of our Technical Trainers and Well Drilling Consultants. Although his professional path is now focused on drilling and technical training, he has a diverse academic background. He studied Law and Business Administration before ultimately discovering his passion for drilling and helping communities gain access to clean water. He also enjoys traveling to other countries to provide training and share his expertise. On weekends, he spends time at home building wooden furniture and taking apart computers, customizing them, and putting them back together.
Josh brings five years of engineering experience with the British Army, along with additional experience as an engineering research intern. He holds a master’s degree in Civil and Materials Engineering, as well as a Master’s in Education for Teaching SecondarySciences (Physics) from Cambridge. Since joining HydroLOGICA, Josh has focused on gaining hands-on field experience and applying his academic and technical background to real-world projects.
Originally from England, Josh enjoys riding motorbikes, working on hands-on projects, building things from scratch, and exploring new restaurants and cuisines in his free time.
