MANAGUA, NICARAGUA — HydroLOGICA is proud to announce the official launch of its new Apprenticeship Program this quarter, designed to elevate the technical capacity of individuals working with NGOs and nonprofits who are dedicated to expanding safe water access.

The apprenticeship will bring participants from across the globe to HydroLOGICA's headquarters in Managua, Nicaragua, for a three-month intensive program. This unique initiative merges classroom instruction with real-world, hands-on experience, utilizing HydroLOGICA's state-of-the-art equipment including a drilling rig, facilities, and on-the-ground projects.

“The purpose of this program is to share knowledge of best drilling practices and foster long-term industry change,” said Michael Montgomery, HydroLOGICA Co-founder. “By equipping individuals with technical excellence, we aim to significantly improve the quality and sustainability of water projects globally.”

Participants will benefit from:

• In-person training using HydroLOGICA's refined coursework
• Practical experience with modern drilling equipment and tools
• Full immersion using HydroLOGICA’s in-country housing and facilities
• Continued post-program support from HydroLOGICA instructors

The course is structured around two core training tracks:

1. Water Well Drilling for Water Well Drillers – technical training for those who will directly operate drilling equipment.
2. Water Well Drilling Supervision – tailored for NGO and government staff who supervise contract drilling activities.

Apprentices will graduate with the competence necessary to apply best practices in their home countries, helping to close the gap for the 2 billion people worldwide still lacking safely managed drinking water.

“Technical excellence isn’t optional—it’s essential,” Montgomery added. “Through this program, we will empower organizations to raise their drilling standards and, ultimately, save lives.”
