MANAGUA, NICARAGUA — July 7, 2025

HydroLOGICA is proud to announce the graduation of Fadzai Munodawafa, the inaugural participant in its newly launched Apprenticeship Program aimed at advancing technical excellence in water well drilling and supervision. Fadzai completed the intensive three-month training in June 2025 and will now serve as HydroLOGICA’s official representative in Africa.

Based in the Republic of Congo, Fadzai brings more than nine years of experience in the WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) sector, having held both field and management roles in a faith-based NGO in Zimbabwe. She has supported and managed projects funded by USAID, the United Nations, and Rise Against Hunger, focusing on water supply systems, hygiene promotion, sanitation, and sustainable water resource management.

“Fadzai represents the caliber of leadership and technical expertise we envisioned when we launched this program,” said Michael Montgomery, Co-founder of HydroLOGICA. “Her commitment to excellence and community transformation aligns perfectly with our mission to improve water access through knowledge-sharing and capacity building.”

HydroLOGICA’s Apprenticeship Program, launched earlier this year, is designed to equip WASH professionals with hands-on training and classroom instruction at the organization’s headquarters in Managua, Nicaragua. The program provides immersive experience with modern drilling equipment and emphasizes best practices for sustainable, high-quality water infrastructure.

As HydroLOGICA’s Africa representative, Fadzai will play a vital role in advancing drilling standards across the continent and supporting partners in achieving technically sound and sustainable water projects.

“Technical excellence isn’t optional - it’s essential,” added Montgomery. “Fadzai’s graduation marks a significant step toward our vision of empowering local leaders to deliver lasting solutions in the global water crisis.”
