As we step into 2026, I’m filled with gratitude and excitement for what lies ahead. Thanks to your continued support, we’ve celebrated some incredible milestones recently, from impactful trainings to the growth of our apprenticeship program, now entering its second successful year. And we’re just getting started!

This year, we have ambitious projects planned across Latin America and Africa, including in Guatemala, Honduras, Belize, Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda, along with virtual initiatives that will expand our reach even further. Whether in the field or online, our mission remains the same: to equip and empower people and organizations to deliver safe water where it’s needed most. Thank you for being part of this journey.

Training & Consulting in Latin America

Drilling Training with El Porvenir

HydroLOGICA recently hosted a five-day Drilling Supervision Training in partnership with El Porvenir, aimed at building local expertise in overseeing water well projects. Held at our headquarters and in the field in El Sauce, León, the program blended classroom learning with hands-on experience during a live drilling operation. Participants deepened their understanding of safety protocols, quality control, geological assessment, and contractor engagement—emerging more confident, capable, and ready to ensure long-lasting, high-quality water access in their communities. This training is a powerful step toward strengthening sustainable groundwater infrastructure across the region.

Healing Waters International in Guatemala:

HydroLOGICA is honored to be partnering with Healing Waters International on a vital water access project in northern Guatemala, specifically in the communities surrounding El Pajal. One community currently has no water system, while El Pajal operates a system supplying 30 gallons per minute (gpm)—far short of the 140 gpm needed for full household coverage. Our team visited the area in early January 2026, alongside geologist James Adamson of Northwater and our partners from Geoinspeciones, who are conducting a geophysical survey. Their findings will guide our upcoming well drilling, planned for Q2, to help close the critical water supply gap. Our team got a look behind the scenes, from geological measurements and brush clearing for geophysical lines to a tour of the current El Pajal system, showcasing the collaborative efforts moving this important project forward.

Training in Nicaragua with Living Water International:

In Q4 of 2025, we had the privilege of hosting a 3-week intensive training with Living Water International at our bodega in Nicaragua, led by Douglas Varela with support from Fadzai Munodawafa. The training focused on two critical components for delivering safe water in the field: water well drilling and well drilling supervision. Week 1 covered hands-on drilling techniques, Week 2 emphasized effective project supervision, and Week 3 brought it all together with the successful drilling of a well in Nicaragua. HydroLOGICA’s comprehensive training equips organizations like LWI with the practical skills and knowledge needed to provide safe, sustainable water to communities that need it most.
